Submission Media

General file specifications are outlined below for all media types. Media types accepted vary by category. Refer to the Disciplines & Categories pages for details.

Digital media will be saved into your account. Identical media will not need to be added more than once as it can be attached to entries from your Manage Media list.

Ensure that all submitted media does not include Agency, Studio, or Individual credits or logos.


SUBMISSION MEDIA TYPES

Judging Media: The primary material and content that the jury will be judging.

Supporting Media: Secondary material and content that the jury may review at their discretion.

Reference Media: Additional material, including images, required by the ADCC. These materials will not be judged, but they may be used for publication and promotional purposes.



WRITE-UPS

Write-ups may be mandatory or optional, depending on specific catergory requirements.

The Entry Description category should provide basic information for judging.

All categories include an optional Cultural Context field. This should only be used to explain uniquely Canadian cultural information that is required for our international judges to understand the entry. It should not include general information or stats about the Canadian market or product categories.

All write-ups should be written in English and should not include any entrant information or credits.



ENTRY THUMBNAIL

Every entry requires a thumbnail image. The jury will see this for reference only; it will not be judged.



NON-ENGLISH ENTRIES

All work should be submitted in its original language. English translations are required for all work in another language.

  • Image and Audio Media: Use the "Judging Description / Translation" field.
  • Video Media: Include English subtitles or a translation.
  • URL Media: Provide instructions in English in the appropriate field.
  • PDF Media: Must be submitted in English.
  • Physical Materials: Include English translation in the Information section.


Reference Images

These images may be used by The ADCC for promotional purposes, but they will not be judged. They should reflect the content of your entry and be high resolution.

  • Dimensions: 2400px – 4800px on the longest side
  • File Size: Up to 5MB
  • Format: High res JPEG or PNG in RGB



Image

  • Types: Artwork Image, Project Image
  • Dimensions: 2400px – 4800px longest side
  • File Size: Up to 5MB
  • Format: High res JPEG or PNG in RGB
  • Note: Project boards and any other supporting text must be legible from a distance and on handheld devices. Provide translations if needed.



Video

  • Types: Content Video, Project Video
  • Aspect Ratio: 16:9 (1920x1080 preferred)
  • Min Resolution: 1280x720
  • Format: .mp4 or .mov (H.264, AAC)
  • File Size: Up to 500MB
  • Note: No color bars, slates, or agency info.



Video - Case Studies

  • Duration: Max 2 minutes (120 seconds)
  • Aspect Ratio: 16:9 (1920x1080 preferred)
  • Min Resolution: 1280x720
  • Format: .mp4 or .mov (H.264, AAC)
  • File Size: Up to 500MB
  • Note: No color bars, slates, or agency info.



Audio

  • Type: Content Audio
  • Format: MP3
  • File Size: Up to 50MB
  • Note: No agency info or slates. Provide translations if applicable.



URL

  • Types: Project Website, Full Length Video
  • Requirements: URL must remain active through November 2026
  • Notes:
    • Video hosting sites not accepted in Website categories
    • No password protection if possible
    • No URLs to slide decks, brand decks, etc.
    • No URLs to agency/entant websites
    • Use translation field for non-English sites



SCRIPTS (PDF)

  • Types: Audio/Radio script in PDF format
  • File Size: Up to 15MB
  • Format: English only; scripts should include the entry name but no company information



Animated Gifs

  • Dimensions: Max 4800px on longest side
  • File Size: Up to 50MB
  • Format: High res GIF, RGB color mode
  • Note: Provide translation for non-English animations



Physical Materials

Only accepted for select Design categories. Include entry labels and follow shipping guidance below.

  • Flat Prints: No mounting, attach label to back, submit at original size, ship flat, do not roll
  • Dimensional Work: Attach label discreetly
  • Liquids: Comply with customs, may remove contents before shipping
  • Perishables: Do not send perishable content, may remove contents before shipping

Physical entries must arrive at the ADCC no later than Friday, July 10.
