Student AWARDS

As always, we are setting out to recognize and award the absolute best student work.

Rather than providing a brief for a specific brand or product, we’re looking for the best work from your portfolio. It’s that piece that you’re most proud of. The piece that represents what you’re capable of – the one that truly showcases your talent. So send us your best and prepare to be judged by the best.

You should submit your strongest work, along with a brief rationale (50 words or less), so our judges can understand any unique context.

Winning an ADCC Student Award

What does winning mean?

Earning an ADCC award is the perfect way to launch your career. Your work will be featured on the ADCC Archive, and shown at this year’s ADCC Awards show, alongside work belonging to the industry’s top professionals - cementing your place in Canadian creative history, which stretches back 75 years.

What are the awards?

There are three Advertising & Design Club of Canada awards: Gold, Silver and Bronze.

Judges will award up to 2 Gold award winners; one from the work submitted to the Advertising category, the other from work submitted to the Graphic Design, Editorial & Book, and Digital Design categories.

Gold award winners will also receive a cash prize of $1,000. Silver award winners will receive a cash prize of $150. In cases where an award-winning entry is submitted by a team, the prizes will be shared between team members. Statues and certificates will be sent to the student that paid the entry fee.

Eligibility

The competition is open to all full-time students attending a recognized post-secondary institution in Canada and studying in either:

Advertising
Graphic Design
Editorial & Book Design
Digital Design

Students may enter individually or in teams of up to four students. You can submit entries in more than one category.

Students graduating in 2025 are still eligible to enter this year’s Student Awards.

Judging

What are the judges looking for?

We will be selecting winners in the ADCC Student Awards based on originality, concept, and execution as determined by the judges. These awards are designed to recognize students who showcase exceptional talent or craftsmanship through their work.
